i love the way skarsgard is acting murderbot thus far. not just in the physical mannerisms - which are, in my opinion, spot on. mb looks like its ready to fling itself out of the window in every social interaction <3 - but also in the dialogue. the contrast between murderbot's internal monologue (cool, confident, occasionally jokey) and external dialogue (well and truly painfully awkward, stilted, just generally off) has been great thus far.

Can I say something without being murdered by an angry mob? I don't think Zane has superhuman abilities. I hate when people make him the "perfect, good at everything" ninja. You're literally stripping him of his humanity by taking away his most human trait - not being perfect. I don't think he's stupid or weak by any means, he's a nindroid, it makes sense for him to be naturally a quick learner because he's programmed to perform better than humans. But I think he's only slightly above average in terms of smarts and/or skill sets, especially pre titanium Zane. And expecting him to act 100% perfect all the time takes away a big part of his character, which is being seen as more than just a machine. He's programmed to act as human, and being human means you will never EVER instantly be good at something and you'll never be absolutely perfect in everyones eyes at something. I'm begging you guys to understand where to balance Zane in-between machine and human because for some reason despite the amount of people saying Zane is more than a talking toaster, I still see the majority acting as if him not being human means he's completely perfect and unable to make mistakes.

Okay so I'm gonna ramble more about 'The Wild Robot': spoiler alert:

Brightbill was never supposed to come this far, he's what they call a runt, the odds were stacked against him from the beginning of his life. He got raised by Roz and became the odd man out, they bullied him, no one accepted him. All that happens and he starts internalizing that hate..

But then the importance of a support system is shown, because even as Brightbill wants to quit, Roz won't let him, and not only her but Fink and Thunderbolt start supporting him too:

This is so amazing, because what Brightbill has been led to believe is a disadvantage Thunderbolt lets him know it's not, that it's even beautiful.

Not only that but he compliments Brightbills wings after making him, not letting him, but making him show his wings off, rewiring his beliefs.

Then you have the way Longneck took him under his wing among all those bullies, and all he did was be gentle with him and believing in him, and they did an amazing job in showing how important that is, making Brightbill take the lead to get all the geese out.

What made me even more emotional is that this moment Roz tells him: "Remember, there's nothing he can do that you can't". We see him repeating the same thing later on

motivating the rest the same way his momma did...

"Fly like you, not like them". You may not be able to fly like them, but you can fly like you, and it might take a little longer and a little more work, but you'll get there.

Its so beautiful to see what wonders a support system does. What a beautiful movie to all the people who grew up or are living with disadvantages that slow their progress, this gives some hope, that Endurance is a mighty force, we'll get there eventually.

God forbid you're a textbook person with ASPD and NPD/traits these days.

Prosocials and Egotypicals already make your life hard because of their trauma or whatever the fuck pop psychology they decided to jump on, but other people with ASPD or NPD erasing your existence because "people with those are never like the stereotypes" or worse, saying you're an awful person too because at least they don't do so or so, makes you hate everyone equally now. As if their type of disorder is the one that's real now and always was, and yours is a fantasy that other people made to demonize certain behaviors, because yours can't exist. That's just being an asshole now.

I don't need love, understanding, acceptance or empathy, nothing emotional, I simply need people to just let me exist without adding more burdens to my already burdened life. I need my basic needs met much like you do, water, electricity, food, shelter, health, safety, things that I shouldn't need to have any emotional links to be allowed to obtain. Or rather, deserve to, since I keep seeing that word.

Your comfort doesn't mean you get to discriminate me, so let's just stick to basic contractual transactions, alright?
